This is a great side dish for any meal. Grate the beets and turnips. In a skillet heat the oil over medium heat. Add the beet and turnip mixture, and press down with a spatula. Cover the mixture and cook for 7 minutes, then flip and repeat the process. If they are burning turn down the burner. Remove the cover and continue to cook the hashbrowns flipping periodically until they start to caramelize this should take another 10 minutes. At this point a little more oil might need to be added, move the hashbrowns to the side of the pan and add another tablespoon of oil. Sprinkle with salt and serve.
